Lays Off 22 in Final Round of Cuts
April 28, 2010
"The final round of cuts came yesterday, the Times said. The network news division shed jobs to cut costs. The newspaper says full-timers have been replaced by freelancers on shows such as “20/20” and “Primetime,” and that ABC now has fewer correspondents around the country. Those that remain are becoming one-person bands, writing, shooting and editing their own stories." Read The Whole Story....

Dealers Doubt 3DTV
March 31, 2010
Many dealers and custom integrators are still skeptical about the early success and viability of 3DTV, saying non-compatible 3D glasses and lack of content will hinder sales.
"It still comes down to whether the glasses will work with different TVs," Kevin Hollister of Bjorn's Audio in San Antonio, Texas, said at this week's Brand Source and Home Entertainment Source Spring Summit in Dallas. O&O gets earlier start
WNBC New York will start its Today in New York program a half-hour earlier starting March 1, when it will kick off at 4:30 a.m. "The extended half hour will focus primarily on the day's top headlines, weather and traffic, giving viewers an even earlier jump start on their day," WNBC said in a statement.
The program will air 4:30 to 7 a.m. and features the talent crew of Michael Gargiulo, Darlene Rodriguez, Chris Cimino and Megan Meany.
"We know that viewers are waking up earlier, and we want to be there with the latest local news and information to help them start their day," said WNBC VP of News Susan Sullivan. "Expanding Today in NY to 4:30 allows us to respond to the changing dynamics of our audience and ensure we remain their source for local morning news."
